The Board of Directors of MEA is elected by the general meeting of all members, each member serving a term of 2–3 years. The Board has 15 members — 7 elected from the provinces and 8 from the districts of Ulaanbaatar — and is the body holding the highest authority whenever the General Assembly is not in session.
